Despite being dubbed as the "little Norway", Poulsbo did not lose its authentic small town identities – great communal vibes, well-loved local businesses, including multiple topnotch art galleries showcasing local artists' work. The view in this painting is from the coffee shop that perches atop the hill right off the street. This was one of those first sunny days of the year, an occasion for celebration for us Washingtonians. I was eager to get out too and glad I captured the cheerful mood and beautiful weather in this painting.
