What kind of subjects can you paint?

I paint a wide variety of subjects, but most known for landscapes, cityscapes, home portraits and boat portraits. The only subjects I do not offer currently are people and pet portraits, unless the people and animals are small and incorporated into the scene.

What are your typical prices for commission work?

The starting cost for the most common dimensions are shown below:

  • 10"x7": $200
  • 12"x9": $350
  • 14"x10": $450
  • 16"x12": $650
  • 20"x14": $950

The starting cost involves creating a painting based on a reference photo, without seeking customer's approval until the final painting is done.

If customizations such as changing the weather, lighting and composition are needed, approvals are highly recommended to ensure you are happy with the final outcome.

Approvals are an additional $50 per round. In most cases, the customer only needs to approve once to a study painting I do prior to the main piece.

Please note that in watercolor, there is no "cover ups" and thus no modifications can be made to the final artwork.
