How do you ship the original artwork?
All original pieces are shipped without matting or frames. Paintings that are 12”x16” or smaller will be shipped in a thick envelope with protective backing board that further protects the painting.
Paintings that are larger than 12"x16” will be rolled up gently and shipped in a 4" diameter tube.
For protection, all artwork will be wrapped in an acid free plastic sleeve. Rolled up artworks will have a layer of bubble wrap before they get put into the shipping package.
How do you ship the art prints?
Prints that are 14"x11" and smaller will be shipped in a thick envelope, padded with backing board to increase rigidity further.
All prints are wrapped in an acid free, plastic sleeve before being put into the envelope.
How should I frame original artworks?
When it comes to framing the artwork, it is a matter of personal preference. The most common way to frame a watercolor piece is using mat and a frame with glass. The mat should cover the white margin of the artwork (or about 1/4" from the edge of full-bleed artworks), leaving only the painted area shown through. The mat is then mounted to the picture frame of your choice.
My personal favorite method, however, is cutting out the white margins, and frame the artwork without glass or mat, so the artwork extends itself all the way to the edge of the frame. Without glass, there will not be glare that gets in the way of enjoying the artwork. However, for this method, a generous coat of cold wax (such as this one) needs to be applied to the surface of the artwork to protect from moisture and debris.
How should I frame art prints?
I recommend using mat and glass picture frames to frame the paper prints. Even though the prints come with a white border, the dimension however, refers to only the part with the image on it. The white borders are merely there to make it easier to "hinge" your print from the mat. So when you are shopping for a mat, you should shop for the mat with a opening that matches the dimension of the print. All mat products have a 1/4" overlap already built-in so that the edge of the print won't show through the opening.
If you wish to frame an artwork without a mat (directly in a frame), you can do so by first trimming out the white borders of the print so it fits a standard sized frame.
How do I know I have purchased the original painting and it’s done by you?
Apart from the fact that you can find the unique signature (different for each painting) on the back of the artwork, a certificate of authenticity will be included with the artwork that is also signed and dated.
Will the original artwork contain the trademark that says “Ina Xi all rights reserved”?
No. The trademark is for previewing the artwork through my Web store only.
